What is Somatic Experiencing?
When our bodies experience trauma, the sympathetic nervous system builds up energy and can create chronic stress in both mind and body. Somatic Experiencing is a therapeutic strategy that offers a framework to identify trauma, as well as the suppressed emotions and held physical stress around it.
When combined with intentional movement, Somatic Experiencing will promote somatic healing and reorient your nervous system back to rest and digest, instead of getting stuck in fight or flight.
As a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, I will guide you through Somatic Experiencing and mindful movement to ultimately restore functionality in your nervous system.

Somatic movement is the processing of held stress and trauma in your body through mindful movement and your physiology.
As your Somatic Experience Practitioner, I will hold space for vulnerability as I guide you through somatic movement to release any stored or past trauma and expand your capacity for nervous system resilience.
SOMATIC YOGA
Somatic movement in yoga combines the power of somatic experiencing with the mind body connection of yoga.
I will guide you through emotionally and physically processing held stress, through asana, pranayama, and meditation, while enhancing resilience in the nervous system.
